Every case requires a clear and in-depth understanding of the facts. Attorneys are often called on to assist in or lead the due diligence process. Research every principal player, individual or corporation, in all the the available litigation, judgment, corporate, UCC and real property records. Always check both the home and the office counties. Use a simple personal computer data base program to organize your research. Most indices are straight alphabetical, but there may be one index for individuals and one for corporations. Prepare alphabetical research lists both ways to assist you and speed your research. If more names are uncovered add them and reprint the checklists.
