Suffolk County Judgment Computer

Screen A is the main menu screen for the Suffolk County Judgment Computer. To conduct a search, enter the search name on the space provided. You may also enter a corporate name on the "Last Name" field. Tab the cursor down to the "Please Xmit From This Position" space, place an "X" and press the "XMIT" key. Screen B will appear.

Screen B will list all the judgments that match the search name. Not much information is available from this screen. In order to get more information about a specific judgment, place an "X" on the line next to the name and press the "XMIT" key. Screen C will appear.

Screen C is an example of an expanded judgment. The highlighted information on the screen pertains to this particular judgment. From the screen we can read that the judgment is from the Justice Court of the Town of Southampton, Index no. 1269/91, and was perfected on 9/13/91. The computer will also list the creditor name and address and the creditorıs attorney for the case. From this screen you can do another search by just pressing the "XMIT" key or you can place an "X" in the space provided and hit "XMIT" to exit the system. To view a copy of the judgment, go to the print station and select the judgment reel by the perfection date listed on the judgment.
